Primary Schools’ Chaplain, Basildon. Start September 2012, £16,055p.a. St Anne Line Infant, St Teresa’s and St Anne Line Junior Schools, supported by the Catholic Parish of Our Lady and All Saints, Basildon, are delighted to have developed the post of Primary Schools’ Chaplain to complement the existing youth ministry in the parish and secondary school. Working with school staff to animate Masses and liturgies, as well as providing a variety of opportunities for children aged 4 – 11 to develop their faith, this is a magnificent opportunity for a practicing Catholic with experience in leading young people in worship, and communicating the faith to young people. Full details from Fr Dominic Howarth, frdominic@brentwoodvocations.org or 01268 281732. Closing date for applications: 21st May.

Our own Faith Discussion Group will meet in the hall on Monday 21st May at 7.30pm. Our group is growing, but we will always welcome more people who are interested in discussing matters of faith in an informal and lively manner.

Parish Lottery

The Parish Lottery restarts at the beginning of June, so now is the time to enter for the coming 12 months. The cost is £12 a year and this gives the chance to win one of four prizes each month - 1st £30, 2nd £15, 3rd £10 and 4th £10. To renew your entry please collect your named envelope from the Porch. If you are new to the Lottery, please pick up one of the unnamed envelopes for New Members, which contain instructions about how to enter.

In 2011/2012 the Lottery raised £528 for the Parish, please consider entering again this year. The more entries we have, the more money we raise. Envelopes, with payment, need to be returned by 27th May to be included in the June Draw. Please put them in the offertory collection basket or post through the Presbytery door.

If you have any questions about how the Lottery works, I will be outside at the end of each Mass this weekend or you can call me on SW 599578.

Thank you. Kelly Cole
